The Elite Headset – 1-1/8″ Threadless – Black EC34/28.6 EC34/30 is engineered for riders who demand uncompromising performance, precision, and durability. Designed and tested in the UK to withstand extreme British riding conditions, this headset delivers exceptional steering control and long-lasting reliability.
Crafted from aircraft-grade aluminium with precision CNC alloy cups, the Elite Headset combines strength with a remarkably low weight of just 92g (based on a 1-1/8″ threadless headset with a steel crown). This lightweight construction enhances your bike’s efficiency without sacrificing durability.
The quad-sealed precision angular contact bearings work in harmony with a double-sealed bearing housing to provide outstanding protection against water, dirt, and grit. The innovative flush seal technology further extends bearing life, ensuring smooth, consistent performance ride after ride.
Its expanding collar design guarantees a secure fit that stays tightened, even under demanding conditions, giving you confidence on rough terrain or during high-speed descents. The headset comes complete with an alloy top cap and star-fangled nut for straightforward installation.
For long-term maintenance, full spares backup is available, including the R408 replacement bearing (30x41x6.5 45×45), so you can keep your headset performing like new for years to come.
At Blue Door Bicycles, we know that every component matters when it comes to ride quality. That’s why the Elite Headset is built to deliver precision handling, weather resistance, and dependable performance in all conditions.
Whether you’re tackling technical trails, enduring wet commutes, or simply upgrading your bike’s steering system, the Elite Headset – Black EC34/28.6 EC34/30 offers the perfect combination of lightweight design, robust construction, and weatherproof engineering — every ride, every time, with Blue Door Bicycles.

Bike & Ride – The Premier Option for You
Blue Door Bicycle is proud to be one of the few online bike retailers in the UK offering a delivery service that guarantees your bike arrives fully assembled and ready to ride. Our premier delivery option, ‘Bike & Ride,’ is available for just £70 per bike and ensures that your biking experience starts effortlessly and smoothly.
With ‘Bike & Ride,’ your new bike will arrive in a specially designed bike box with minimal packaging, ensuring protection during transit while reducing environmental impact. Included are all the necessary tools, so you can start riding within minutes of delivery. Our commitment to sustainability means we avoid using foam, bubble wrap, and zip-ties, opting instead for eco-friendly packaging. We encourage you to recycle any materials where possible, contributing to a greener planet and giving you the added satisfaction of making an environmentally responsible choice.
Bike & Ride for Standard Bikes
For standard bikes, our ‘Bike & Ride’ service ensures that each bike undergoes meticulous assembly and rigorous quality checks by our expert bike builders. This attention to detail guarantees that your bike meets the highest standards of safety and performance. To facilitate this thorough process, bicycles are not eligible for next-day delivery, ensuring each bike is perfectly prepared for you.
Bike & Ride for E-Bikes
Due to the additional weight and unique handling needs of electric bikes, we cannot ship them fully assembled. Instead, our expert mechanics will assemble, configure, and thoroughly inspect your electric bike before repacking it in its original box. This process requires the removal of the front wheel, handlebars, pedals, and seat-post, which you will need to reinstall upon delivery. We provide detailed instructions and all necessary tools to help you complete the assembly quickly and effortlessly.
Experience the unmatched convenience and quality of ‘Bike & Ride’ by purchasing your bike from our online shop. With Blue Door Bicycle, you’re choosing a service that prioritises your riding experience, environmental responsibility, and exceptional quality from the moment you receive your bike.
